RESEARCH GRANTS/AWARDS/COMMISSIONS

 

 

2004-05 Major International Project Grant Award – Arts Council England, including support from The Manchester Art Gallery, Imperial War Museum and The Khalil Sakakini Art Centre (Ramallah). A project linking two school groups through a ceramic assignment, beginning here and travelling on to Palestine.

2004 (July) Research Study Visit. Wales Arts International funded visit to Jordan.

2003 Conditional Award from Wales Arts International (WAI), funding to carry out a research project in Palestine.

1990-96 Several commissions for Viking Ltd. Bacup, Lancs. & Charlatte S.A. Migennes, France. Both manufacturers of airport support systems. Replicating several of their products, cast in ceramic, with matching livery and insignia.

1989 Commission for the Octagon Theatre, Bolton.

1984-88 Several commissions undertaken for local Town Councils & Tourist Authorities.

1983 Freelance design work undertaken for Wades Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent. 1982 Joint award winner of the Rosenthal Ceramic Design Competition, Germany.
